Camera Critters

Hey all you Camera Critters fans my entry for this week can only be enjoyed in it's entirety by enlarging the shot. To see more critters or join in the fun yourself click on the image above.

This little guy was waiting at my kids bus stop.My 6 year old daughter was bored waiting in the car for her brother to arrive on the bus.She decided to get out of the car and gather acorns.I was in the car with the door open watching her she was out no more than 2 seconds and yelled SNAKE and jumped into the car.I want you to keep this in mind this is the very first time I grabbed my camera to bring it to the bus stop.I had it with me because the clouds were just lovely so I thought I would take some sky watch photos. After she got in the car I got out to see the snake with camera in hand thinking I was going to capture a garden snake or something like that. But as you can see or if you don't know it is a baby Rattle snake. He was shaking his tail at me telling me get away or else. My daughter is so lucky I thank whoever up above was looking out for her.

Very nice shot. And you were brave to stand there and take it. I'm glad your daughter got out of the way. I've never seen a rattler. Don't want to either. snakes around here are non-poisonous, thank goodness.

OMG!Thank God she got to see it!Many bites happen just because they mangle so well in the dead leafs!I love snakes but I'd terrified if one of my kids got bitten!

Good on you that you took your camera. You never can tell what you will encounter.I do the same. It was lucky that your daughter didn't step on the snake.
Have a great weekend.

Oh my gosh - I would have freaked out! I'm not afraid of snakes, but when they have rattles, I prefer to stay away from them!
