Showing My Nuts

I thought you would like to see how huge my pecans have gotten over the last few weeks. If you go here you can see how much they have grown.










Look how many are in this bunch and it's like this all over the tree way more then when we first moved in here.









Look at how huge they are but they are still not ready to pick as you can see.










There are so many that the branch is touching the ground I am going to have more pecans than I know what to do with. Hubby and I were thinking about selling them but we have yet to find a farmers market around here.

My Pecan Tree

This is my pecan tree as you can see it is getting ready to bear it's fruit or at least I think that is what it's called. Anyway this is our second year here with the pecan tree and the pecans are a lot larger this year.

This picture is taken from a bit of a distance the tree is a big one.

This is a bit closer they are still green as you can see so they are not ready for picking but will be shortly.

Look at the size of my nuts...lol the whole tree is covered this year way more than last year. I'm not sure if it's because last year we had a drought.

This year we had a lot more rain maybe that's why they are bigger who knows but we are going to have more pecans than I'm gonna know what to do with..

Calling All Bakers

I'm calling on all my blogging buddies who know how to bake.

Let me start off by telling you that when we bought this house it came with a giant Pecan tree in the back yard. With that being said. In about 2 months my tree is going to produce some beautiful pecans and I have no idea what to do with them all.

So I am calling on you to send me some recipes.I like to bake although I am not very good at it. I do try though. Any recipes that I receive and can actually make I will post pictures and give props to whomever sent it.
