Hello and welcome to Through My Eyes Fridays a weekly meme. The idea is simple show the world what you see either out of your window of your house or through the windshield of your car. Take pictures with your camera or your cell phone show us the sky above you or the ground below you.

You can also post videos if that is how you want us to look through your eyes it's up to you.Share pictures of your kids the furry ones or the not so furry ones. Is your desk a mess or is it the most organized thing in your home. What's in your home or out your front door we want to see your world through your eyes.

This is what you see when you look through my eyes at Max my dog looking around the yard.He is contemplating where he is going to run off to. He has a whole lot of yard to choose from so it takes him a few minutes to decide.

Camera Critters

This is our neighbors dog his name is Lucky he is a 2 year old Lab who likes to come to our house to play with Max who is a 9 year old German Shepard mix. If Max isn't outside when Lucky comes to play Lucky will come to our front door and look in I think if he could knock on the door he would.

If you don't know this is Max he and lucky have become fast friends they play together it is so fun to watch them. The only down side to them playing is the age difference Lucky has so much energy that Max gets warn out from all the playing.

Shower Time

It was shower time for Max yesterday he gets a shower for two reasons. Reason #1 Max does not like water he is terrified of it. Reason #2 we have a deep tub and I don't know if any of you have ever tried to get a 75 lb. dog who doesn't like water into a deep tub if you haven't it is no small feet. So to keep our tub from getting damaged and to save Max the stress of getting into the tub we have decided it is best to shower him.

Max loves his daddy and will follow him anywhere so if daddy goes into the shower and calls Max he will go. I have given Max a shower 2 times before and it is one messy job.This time it was daddy's turn Max did ok he did try several times to get out.I tried to get more pictures but wasn't able to open the sliding doors so each time I took a picture from the top I would get hubby's butt crack...lol I would have posted those but he would kill me.









This is the handsome boy after getting all clean he looks like a bear after a shower his fur sticks up all over the place. He was such a good boy daddy gave him a treat that is what he is posing pretty for here.

Dog VS Raccoon Update 2

I got a call today the stupid raccoon DID NOT have rabies so man that sure is a load off our shoulders. Finally something went right......Here's a picture of the boy and Max. Max is begging the boy to take him outside


It just so happens this picture was taken the night Max killed the raccoon. Usually we don't let him go out at night but he insisted he had to go out and he was hurting the boy with his giant claws.

I want to thank everyone for their well wishes one of you must have brought us good luck cause we sure don't have any of our own.So whoever you were a huge THANK YOU!!!!!

Dog VS Raccoon Update

Well I finally found someone in NJ who could help me I called the township where we had lived and had Max registered. They had a record of his rabies shot thank goodness , well his shot was good until August 17 2008. Guess what he bit the coon on August 17,2008 so according to the vet they still say his shot was expired and can't do anything until the test comes back on the coon. The animal control lady picked it up this morning and was sending it out today to get it tested. She said we should know something by Friday. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that the coon didn't have the disease. I will update you as soon as I know.

Dog VS Raccoon

This is a story that does not have a happy ending.It starts off with a father and son taking the family dog out for his evening potty.Dog runs off father and son hear a scuffle run to see dog with raccoon in his mouth shaking his head violently from side to side.See the cute little raccoon this is him after my husband got our dog to let it go.

The man comes in to get me to show me the coon and he isn't hardly moving so I say "why don't we just let him be he is probably scared and stunned we'll come check on him in a little bit" So we go in the house and 40 minutes later The Man goes to check on him and he has passed away.

The story does not end there no it is just the beginning I searched the house high and low trying to locate the papers to see when my dog was last vaccinated for rabies. But I could not find the papers so I think it's all good I will just call the county we lived in when we got said vaccination. They should have a record right? Well they do have a record of all shots given in that year but all of the copies are on carbon paper and are illegible. GREAT!!! So I ask the lady "well how long are the rabies shots good for" ? She says" 3 years "that's good seeing how we have only been here for a little over 2 years and I know I had gotten the shots in 2005 I have his NJ license hanging on his collar. So we are good to go right? NO!!!

I call to ask the vet what to do they say bring him in and his rabies shot record I say "I can't find them so what happens now"? Well animal control has to come out tomorrow morning to pick up the dead raccoon to take it to be tested for rabies. Since I have no proof of my dog ever getting the shot we have to wait to see if the coon had rabies. We took our dog to the vet the vet looked him over to see if he had bite marks. The were no marks so they give him the shot and tell us to make sure we contact animal control to have them come get the coon which I had done.

So as it is right now I have no idea what is going to happen to our dog they were talking about putting him down and quarantine. Until they find out if the coon was sick It's just one big mess.

Missing Daddy

This is our dog his name is Max and this is what he looks like when "The Man" goes away for work. He stays in bed the whole time waiting for him to come home. He only gets out of bed to eat and go potty.

He misses his daddy so much I feel bad for him. When he isn't falling asleep waiting for daddy he is staring out the window looking for him to pull up the driveway.

I wish I had someone so loyal. Just thought I would share this and show all how adorable our dog is.
