This is what you see when you look through my eyes out my computer room window. This is my neighbors horse.He is a spirited guy always looking to get into trouble. Please click on the image to see just how pretty he is.

So I am going to share with you what you see when you look through my eyes into my living room

As you can see I collect Santa statues

I have many of them each year I get a new one

I display them on each available surface of my home

I try not to discriminate but I do have to like the face of them it has to speak to me

Some of them are supposed to be tree toppers but I have an angel I give that honor to

Some of them my mom has given to me

They each hold a special place in my heart

Hubby bought this one for me one year for Christmas I love the blue and silver combination

The fat rollie pollie one is a favorite one of mine the face on it is just precious.

The one in the middle is just lovely to see it in pictures does it no justice.

So there you have it a look into my living room as seen through my eyes.

That's My World Tuesday

Welcome to another week of this is my world if you would like to join in click on the banner.

This week for my world I am showing pictures of the changing leaves in my neighborhood. I just love fall it is a beautiful time of year. I was starting to get a bit concerned that the leaves were not changing here in NC. I am used to them changing in mid to late September in NJ.
But as you can see we are in full changing mode here it just took a little

longer and my patience was wearing thin.
Oh but it was worth the wait all of the glorious colors are exploding all over the place.

The folks that bring you skywatch Fridays have come up with another brilliant idea. They want to see the world that you live in your state, town, city, vacation pictures.Whatever you want to share to show people all over the world. If you would like to see pieces of the world from people's perspective or want to show us all yours just click on the logo.I think it is an awesome idea so I am starting with something that is new to me well almost 2 years new to me my yard.

I lived in NJ for the first 36 years of my life we lived in a 3 bedroom ranch style house on an 80x120 lot.If your not sure the size of that well it is very small.In 2005 we decided we had enough of NJ and their high cost of living and their high property taxes.So we packed up the kids and pets and moved to NC.

This is a picture of what our new yard looked like when we moved to it.We bought a house that sits on 5.75 acres of land that had been empty for 7 years before we bought it. Needless to say it was a bit over grown. But we loved it it had the space we craved and a house we feel in love with instantly.Not to mention the property taxes were well within our budget and were three times less than what we paid in NJ for 10 times the property.


This is a picture of the work in progress we were able to get rid of the high grass that was right outside the deck. The area you see in the picture is what we call The Swampy area because when it rains it gets so wet you can't walk in it.







This is the same area pictured above now after a little over two years of working on it. We planted a baby Weeping Willow (pictured below) to help soak up some of the water to try to make it a little less wet. We still have so much to do but no clue where to start lol.






This is the willow, when we got it, it was only 12 inches tall now it is 6 feet tall and that's only after a year and a half. I can't wait to see it all grown up.






This is the front yard and we are at a loss of where to start with the landscape. There is just so much open space we don't know what to put where. Maybe we could put in a giant pond and fill it with tons of fish I bet Fishing Guy would love that lol.

My friend Tina turned me on to this site it's called PhotoFunia it's very addictive and so much fun to play with. The first picture is me and hubby on our wedding day I picked this one because our 10 year anniversary is this Friday.


Look at my adorable baby girl she really could be famous someday.

That boy of mine is such a character he picked this one himself.

Baby girl said "mommy see what I will look like on that's girls dress" so I did.

What man would want to be plastered on Angelina's chest?

I'm not sure if you can see me but I am the sign they are hanging.
